Assignment description
The project is about procuring a new store solution for the customer. In parallel with the project, a large SAP project is being conducted which, among other things, involves a transfer of functionality from the current store solution Store Office to SAP. The project therefore needs to take the SAO project into account and there are major dependencies between the projects.
There are resources in the project that work with individual architectural issues, but the customer is now looking for someone who can take main responsibility for architecture.
We are looking for you who are good at application architecture and infrastructure and can lead a project through a major relocation where a central system is to be replaced. In this process, certain processes, functions, integrations and flows in the systems change. It will thus not be a “one-to-one” exchange of systems, but the application and integration map will change.
The role is about planning the architectural work prior to the project and, together with the supplier and customer resources, ensuring a good delivery.
You need to be communicative and be good at conceptually describing what moves and changes need to be made so that all stakeholders understand.
Since changes will be required in other systems at the client, you need to collaborate with other architects and ensure that the changes are communicated and discussed in appropriate forums, that a recommendation is made that is anchored with all parties involved and that decisions are made in the right place.
This requires courage and initiative and you need to be good at getting people with you.
The role involves:
- Take responsibility for the entire architectural issue in the project
- Lead the work in architecture. The project includes a process architect and an integration architect (both part-time). In addition, there are specialists in security and infrastructure who can assist with expertise in matters
- Compile material that describes the path choices and issues that exist with clear choices, consequences and conditions
- Participate in evaluation of suppliers
- Participate in the implementation project and act as a claimant against the supplier in architecture
- Run the project’s questions and wishes in architectural forums and in direct dialogue with other architects and system owners
Requirements for experience:
- Experience in conducting a dialogue with the business to understand their needs.
- Knowledge of digitization
- Experience of multisourcing environment in outsourced application development and management.
- Experience in the retail industry and POS systems
- Experience of SAP is a plus
You are well acquainted and have a good understanding of what is included in the role and can demonstrate similar experience from previous positions and / or assignments.

You have a good understanding of how IT, technology and business interact.

You are fluent in both Swedish and English in speech and writing
Responsibilities
- Main responsibility for the architecture from all perspectives in the project
- Distribute the work and lead the other project resources in the architectural area of the project
- Support the project manager in driving the project in the right direction, produce a basis for decisions, describe consequences and conditions in an understandable way
- Pursue the project’s issues in architecture forums and in collaborations with architects and other managers from nearby areas and systems
Competence requirements:
- Have a business and customer-oriented mindset and be skilled in managing many stakeholders in business and IT.
- Experience of working with different delivery models, e.g. Lean and / or Agile
- Ability to clearly formulate information for different target groups.
- Ability to work effectively at several levels in an organization.
- Must be a team player and be able to work with and through others.
- Strong analytical skills – can understand complex problems and suggest creative methods to solve them.
- Good ability to document and work against deadlines.
- Knowledge of IT delivery and system landscape from retail is an advantage.
