To our customer we are looking for a Linux system engineer
Job description:
We are looking for a system technician with good knowledge of Linux to take part in our customer’s IT infrastructure department. In your role you will primarily work with our customer’s daily issues and tasks related to the Linux area. Examples of daily tasks can be updating and installing servers, or troubleshooting on systems on Linux as operating system.
In addition to managing daily issues, you will plan and implement major changes together with the administration for one of our customer’s most important Linux systems. In order to succeed and thrive in this assignment, you have the ability to communicate and explain different solutions in a pedagogical manner while you understand the different needs of customers and employees. You should have the ability to work independently and should be easy to take your own initiative.
Preparedness during the evenings and weekends can be included in the assignment as well as planned work in the evenings and weekends (about 4 weekends / year).
Qualifications:
You master Swedish and English in speech and writing. You have a 2-3 years of documented experience of IT operations and have previously worked with Linux systems in large-scale environments previously as IT technicians or equivalent on a second or third line support. You have the ability to independently plan and implement changes within the Linux area. We look forward to having a great interest in Linux and technology.
Qualifying competence:
If you have knowledge in any of the following areas, this is merit: Automation using for example Ansible or Puppet, scripting, monitoring (OP5), Docker, Kubernetes or Elasticsearch. You may have knowledge in one or more programming languages, such as python.
