For our client we are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer/ Technical Consultant
Job description:
We are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join our Professional Services team in EMEA that is a part of our Data Center Business Group. This position represents a rewarding opportunity to use your experience and skills in a dynamic, complex organization and to deliver across our major platforms, VMWare & Redhat technology stack. You will provide technical consultancy and implementation with a focus on Cloud Platform solutions.
What do we expect from you?
• Background in working with customers to build IT infrastructure solutions, with technical expertise and implementation skills in the areas of general networking skills (layer 2/3, BGP, overlay networks), general VMware skills (vSphere hypervisor, vSAN, vRealizeNSX
• VMware deployment is a must
• DevOps skills (Ansible / Ansible Tower or awxPython Scripting, good understanding of CICD)
• Communication skills as you will communicate publicly and with all our stakeholders (technical and executive, customers and internal to the company)
• Passion for technology and for delivering customer success
• Exposure to larger organizations and experience in public/ private companies
• Consulting experience
• Fluency in English as you will report to a manager based in the UK, any additional language is an advantage but not mandatory (in particular German)
• Willingness to travel based on the needs of the business, 1 week per month in Germany (25%)
