For our client we are looking for a IT Solution Expert
Job description:
We are looking for an IT Solution Expert to take role in a High Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure team in a CAE IT group responsible for HPC procurements, cluster operations, user management, queuing systems and incident and problem handling. In this assignment you will be ensuring development and maintaining state-of-the art HPC capability to support our R&D activities, You will have a strong focus on performance and reliability.
Key Operational Duties:
• Assist in day-to-day management of HPC hardware and associated systems
• Perform administration duties on the HPC systems
• Provide user support & administration
• Help to develop strategies to maximize performance of HPC hardware, software and workflows
• Contribute to a long term HPC strategy, including collaboration with hardware and software vendors
Essential Technical Skills:
• Educated to at least degree level in computational science or related subject
• Advanced hands-on experience and interest with administration of Linux machines also including knowledge of GUI configurations
• Advanced hands-on experience and interest with administration of Windows machines
• Excellent knowledge and experience of Linux and shell scripting (csh/sh), awk/sed
• Experience ins administration of queuing systems, like GE and Slurm.
• Knowledge of python programming language (Java, C++, C# also useful)
