For our client we are looking for a IBM i Engineer.
As an IBM i Engineer, you will be part of a multicultural team. You will be responsible for customer environments and for different products and take care of the different aspects of the life cycle of these products: installation, customization and maintenance. The mission will also include customer contacts, incident handling, problem solving, performance and change management, and development and documentation of operational procedures.

The candidate selected for this role will have Knowledge of:
• Experience in IBM i Architecture,
• Virtualization knowledge. Setup/configuration of new IBM i LPARs
• System design, implementation and documentation.
• System monitoring, problem analysis and tuning.
• Problem isolation and resolution.
• i5/OS / AIX Good knowledge
• Familiar with, and respect for change, incident and problem handling within the ITIL framework
The candidate selected for this role will have the Skills to:
• Maintain and demonstrate a working knowledge of IBM i.
• HMC administrator skills.
• CLI scripting
• Report unresolved software anomalies to the team leader and the appropriate vendor.
• Install/configure/maintain VIO servers.
• Implement and maintain HA/DR solutions
• Configure and maintain IBM Storage solutions
• Install, maintain and monitor IBM i systems and products for performance enhancements. Review, analyze, and resolve product problems.
• Be involved in discussions related to Power Systems hardware
• Understand network terminology related to Power/HMC/VIOs (basic SAN knowledge is a plus)
